About Optivise Energy

Optivise Energy is a specialist technical consultancy at the intersection of advanced energy engineering and European innovation strategy. We work with energy developers, industrial companies, research institutions, and investors across Europe helping them design better systems, make more informed investment decisions, and secure the funding needed to bring ambitious energy projects to life.

We are a small, senior team with deep expertise across renewable energy systems, green hydrogen technologies, and the European research and innovation landscape. We do not offer general energy consulting. We engage on problems where rigorous technical modelling and optimisation make a material difference to the outcome and we build our analysis from the ground up, specific to each project and each client.

Our Approach

Energy projects fail for many reasons. In our experience, two of the most avoidable are: analysis that is too simplified to reflect how real systems perform, and strategy that is disconnected from the underlying engineering. We built Optivise Energy to address both.

On the technical side, our models are grounded in peer-reviewed research and validated against commercial technology. Our optimisation frameworks spanning sizing, dispatch, process simulation, and pipeline analysis – are designed to answer the questions that actually determine project viability, not just to produce numbers that look right on a slide.

On the funding and strategy side, we bring the same rigour. A strong Horizon Europe proposal is not just well-written – it is technically credible, strategically positioned, and built around a consortium that genuinely strengthens the application. We support that process end to end, and we can participate as technical partners where that adds value.

The combination is deliberate. Clients who come to us for hydrogen modelling often find that funding strategy is the next conversation. Clients who come to us for proposal support often need technical depth that generic advisors cannot provide. Having both under one roof means those conversations happen faster and the outputs are better aligned.

Our Experience

We bring several years of experience across European and national research and innovation projects in renewable energy, hydrogen, and sustainable fuels in roles that have spanned technical development, project coordination, and strategic management. We have worked within collaborative consortia involving leading universities, research institutes, and industrial partners across Europe, contributing both as technical experts and as project architects.

Our technical methods have been developed and applied on real projects validated against commercial electrolyser technology, applied to industrial decarbonisation challenges, and tested under the scrutiny of European project review. That foundation is what we bring to every client engagement.

What Drives Us

The energy transition is not short of ambition or capital investments. What it often lacks is the analytical rigour to translate both into projects that actually perform as expected. Sizing decisions made on simplified assumptions, operational strategies that ignore real system dynamics, funding proposals that cannot withstand technical scrutiny – these are common, costly, and largely avoidable.

Optivise Energy exists to raise that bar for the clients we work with directly, and for the broader standard of analysis that energy projects in Europe are built on.
