European Funding & Innovation Strategy

We support universities, research institutes, SMEs, industrial partners, and consortia pursuing competitive European funding. Primarily under Horizon Europe and its partnerships, with additional experience in the Innovation Fund and adjacent programmes.

Our work combines hands-on technical expertise in renewable energy and hydrogen with a working understanding of European policy priorities, evaluation criteria, and consortium dynamics. Every engagement is informed by active participation in EU-funded projects and the realities of submission, evaluation, and execution.

We provide end-to-end support across the funding lifecycle, so whether you are exploring a new call, building your first consortium, or strengthening a near-final proposal, you work with one team that connects strategy, content, and delivery.

01

Strategy and concept development

Aligning your project ambition with the right funding opportunity, and shaping it into a compelling proposition.

Funding landscape and call analysis

Identification of the most relevant calls across Horizon Europe including its clusters, missions, and partnerships and, where applicable, the Innovation Fund. Each opportunity is assessed against your organisation's strategy, technical capability, and timeline.

Concept development and positioning

Shaping your idea into a fundable proposition defining the core innovation, the intervention logic, and the differentiation that gives the proposal a competitive edge.

Impact pathway design

Articulating the route from research outputs to scientific, economic, and societal impact, in line with evaluator expectations.

02

Consortium building

Building European partnerships that meet topic requirements and bring genuine technical complementarity.

Partner identification and mapping

Targeted search for academic, industrial, and SME partners that complete the consortium technically, geographically, and strategically.

Consortium design and role allocation

Definition of partner roles, work-package leadership, and technical contributions, ensuring each member adds clear value to the proposal narrative.

Coordination through proposal development

Practical support in keeping a multi-partner consortium aligned through deadlines, internal reviews, and partner contributions.

03

Proposal preparation and submission

Translating concept into a complete, fundable proposal technically credible, strategically positioned, and clearly written.

Full proposal writing

Drafting and integration of all proposal sections, with particular attention to the excellence, impact, and implementation chapters.

Work plan, budget & management structure

Design of the work-package architecture, deliverable plan, and budget allocation, alongside the project management and risk-mitigation framework.

Submission management

Coordination of the final review cycle, quality control, and submission through the European Commission funding portal.

04

Technical participation in funded projects

Acting as a project beneficiary or specialist contributor in successful European consortia.

Beneficiary role in funded projects

Direct participation as a project partner, contributing technical work in renewable energy and hydrogen systems modelling, optimisation, and analysis.

Work-package and task leadership

Leading technical work-packages or specific tasks where our domain expertise sits at the centre of the project.

Specialist technical contributions

Targeted technical input to ongoing projects - modelling, optimisation, lifecycle assessment, or feasibility studies - provided either as a beneficiary or as a third-party expert.
